How did everyone do this weekend!? Hopefully you all feel so accomplished and satisfied with your blogs. Maybe a little tired. Tired, but happy, right?
Let us know how it went in a wrap up post or link to your To Do Lists with updated comments added, whatever you like.
And thanks again for participating. The next Bloggiesta is March 27 through 30. I’ve just now this very moment decided to make it be Thursday through Sunday. Feebdack indicates that many of you wanted another day and especially not a weekend day. Thursday is better for me, so Thursday it is! We’ll see how it goes!
You asked for it. You got it! We are now doing sign ups for Bloggiesta a week ahead. The point here, of course, is to help us spread the word that the event is coming up. So sign up and spread the word!
Click our About Page to find out more about what Bloggiesta is and how we got started. But basically, it’s a blogging marathon where we get together with other bloggers and fix all those blogging tasks that we seem to put off and off and off.
One of the best things about Bloggiesta is to learn from other bloggers, many of whom are experts in some blogging thing or another. That’s where the mini challenges come in. For our main events (held March and September) we have quite the huge list. For our mini ones (January and July) we keep things simple with just a few. Stay tuned for that list coming up when Bloggiesta begins this Saturday, the 25th. Meanwhile, you can look over the past mini challenge list to get inspiration for what tasks you’d like to work on. Also, this challenge has a master to do list if you’d like to start there!
But now, it’s time to sign up for our current Mini Bloggiesta which happens next Saturday and Sunday, the 25th and 26th. To sign up, write a post listing the things you’d like to accomplish during Bloggiesta, also known as your To Do List, and link up to that specific post here. Use one of our buttons and link back to us so others can easily find out all about the event and hopefully join in the fun. Also, include your Twitter name in the link below, if you have one, so we can easily find you there.
Oh, and mark your calendars for Saturday night, the 25th at 9 pm Eastern. That’s when we’ll be chatting on Twitter!
Thanks and have fun!
Coming up the end of this month we’ll be hosting a mini Bloggiesta event. It will be January 25 and 26, a Saturday and Sunday. It’ll be very low key with just a few mini challenges and one twitter chat on Saturday, the 25th at 9 p.m. Eastern.
Basically, this mini event is just an organized time where we can all fix up our blogs together and talk about it as we go.
Sign ups for those participating will go up about a week before. This is new and much requested. Hopefully this will also help us spread the word. So be thinking about your to do lists and link up then if you would like to join us.
Hope to see you there!
I hope you’ve all had a blast this weekend working on your blogs! Hopefully you were able to get a lot done and check off those lists like crazy! If you’ve written a wrap up post and would like to share, link up below.
Our next event will be a monthly chat on Twitter on Saturday August 17th at 10 a.m. Eastern.
And then in September we’ll have our main Bloggiesta event the 20 to 22. So be ready to work hard then! Sign ups for hosts will be posted here in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for playing!
Bloggiesta is a blogging event started several years ago by Natasha from Maw Books. We’ve been holding these blogging marathons twice a year where we have a blast working together with other participants on all the blogging things that seem to accumulate. Since that blogging stuff seems to accumulate so fast, it was decided to have little mini Bloggiestas in between the main ones! Our first mini one was held in February of this year and now….
Welcome to the second Mini Bloggiesta!
It’s just like main events, only smaller! It’s just two days, with just a few mini challenges, and just the one Twitter chat (Saturday the 20th at 10 p.m. Eastern! @bloggiesta #bloggiesta)
We hope you have fun spending whatever time you have this weekend together with other participants working on your blogs! To join the fun, write a post listing what you hope to accomplish this weekend, and link up here. (Add your Twitter name too, so we can connect with you there!)
Be sure to connect with other bloggers to encourage each other and share all your expertise!
Thanks for participating!

And don’t forget to have fun!
Calling all Bloggiesters!
This weekend is the 2nd semi-annual MINI Bloggiesta! We’ll be virtually gathering to work on our blogs Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21. Are you ready? Have you been saving some blogging business to do for the weekend? Or do you ALWAYS have blogging business to do?
As a reminder, a Mini Bloggiesta event is just like a regular Bloggiesta event…only littler! So we’ll be “meeting” just for two days, we’ll only have a small handful of mini challenges (though you can use the massive list of past challenges of course and work on things you missed) and we’ll have just one Twitter chat on Saturday night (10 p.m. Eastern.)
The list of mini challenges will be posted on Friday so you can have a chance to look them over and add to your lists if you’d like.
On Saturday, we’ll post a starting line complete with a linky for all those participating to link up their lists.
Basically, it’s just like a main Bloggiesta event, only not quite intense!
(New to Bloggiesta? Check out our About page here. We love new participants!)
We hope to have many of you joining us! It’s going to be a fun and productive weekend!
Here’s what we’ve come up with for Bloggiesta dates for the rest of the year, including monthly Twitter chats! We’ll give that a try and see how it goes. Not sure on the times yet for those but probably the same as what we did for the main chats last week which were Fridays at 9 p.m. Eastern and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Eastern. Sound good? (We’ll alternate between those two days each month.)
Also, you may notice that all these events fall on the third weekend of the month. We’ll try that idea out for a bit too!
Friday, April 19: Chat
Saturday, May 18: Chat
Friday, June 21: Chat
Sat and Sun, July 20-21: Mini Bloggiesta
Saturday, Aug 17: Chat
Fri-Sun, Sept 20-22: Main Bloggiesta
Friday, Oct 18: Chat
Saturday, Nov 16: Chat
Friday, Dec 20: Chat
The dates for the Mini Bloggiesta have been added to the Bloggiesta logo above, so please feel free to grab that and paste on your own blogs to help spread the word. Thanks!
Once again we have an awesome list of mini challenges for you to check out during Bloggiesta weekend. Be sure to click through them all (you can because the list is a bit smaller this time!) and learn something new! Some of these have prizes, some don’t, it’s all up to the individual challenge hosts.
And don’t forget you can also look through the lists of past challenges. You’ll find links to those on the tab at the top of this, our new official Bloggiesta web page!
