Another Bloggiesta bites the dust! Wow, that was a fast weekend. I hope you all managed to get tons done on your blogs! If you’d like to share your progress or your crossed of To Do Lists, link up below.
Also, mark your calendars for the next Bloggiesta event. It’s only two months away! It will be one week long from March 23 to 29. I’d like to start soliciting for mini challenge hosts right now! If you are interested, send me an email at bloggiesta at gmail.
I won’t have an official feedback survey for this past mini Bloggiesta, but I’d love to know if you enjoyed having it on this particular weekend (which included a holiday for many of us.) Let me know in comments what you thought. Or if you have any other suggestions or ideas for Bloggiesta in general.
Thanks! Happy Blogging!
Let’s get this Mini Bloggiesta weekend started!
Here’s a few things to remember about the way Bloggiesta works.
HOW TO PARTY
- Bloggiesta begins now and runs through Monday night… wherever you are. We don’t have specific starting and ending times…. just Saturday January 17 through Monday January 19… wherever and whenever you are in the world! (We are counting Monday in the weekend this time since many US participants have that day off for a holiday!)
- Plan to spend as much time as you can working on your to do list and completing mini challenges. Don’t worry about having the entire weekend to devote to this, but do challenge yourself to put in some good hours to the project.
- Feel free to update your progress any way you see fit. You can just cross things off your list, or write a couple of update posts. We will have a Finish Line Post link up here on Monday for anyone wishing to link up their summary posts (or crossed off lists.)
HOW TO CONNECT
- Much of our connection with each other will be happening on Twitter. Be sure to follow @Bloggiesta and the hashtag #bloggiesta.
- We’ll have just one Twitter chat this weekend on Sunday January 18 at 2 pm Eastern. Join us. Chats are a blast!
- Also, plan to do lots of blog hopping by clicking on participants links (See the sign up links here.) Send lots of encouragement everyone’s way and help out with your expertise on all bloggish things! This is a big part of the whole idea of Bloggiesta!
- Be sure to participate in as many mini challenges as you can! The new ones are listed here, and previous challenges are listed here. Give our awesome challenge hosts lots of link love and ask them lots of questions!
And that’s about all there is to it! Go forth and blog your hearts heart!
Our Winter 2015 Mini Bloggiesta starts tomorrow! We have several awesome new challenges for this Mini Bloggiesta. Click on the links below to check them out and add them to your to do lists. Some of them may even have prizes!

Be sure to join us for the Twitter chat on Sunday at 2:00 pm Eastern time, #Bloggiesta!

Hey everyone! Our Winter Mini Bloggiesta will be happening in just under two weeks! Wow, does time fly or what!?
The dates are January 17, 18 and 19. That’s Saturday, Sunday and here in the U.S. a holiday Monday. This is an experiment to see how we like using a holiday weekend to do some blog business. For those not in the U.S. I guess it’s just a normal Monday which I know some of you like to use, and some do not. So we’ll see how it goes!
Also, mark your calendars for the Twitter chat on Sunday, at noon Mountain (that’s 2 pm Eastern!) We’ll just have the one chat since it’s a mini event and all.
Oh, and if you are interested in hosting a mini challenge for this event, send me an email at email@example.com.
Be thinking about what you’d like to accomplish and get those To Do Lists ready! Then check back here next week for the sign up post.
Are you feeling the need to freshen up your blog? Here’s hoping so, because it’s time once again for a Mini Bloggiesta!
Join us this next weekend, July 19 and 20, for a fun gathering of bloggers, working feverishly to fix and freshen up their blogs! There’ll be a few new mini challenges, so stay tuned for that list on Friday, but you can also work on any of our past challenges. It’s a perfect time to catch up on challenges you missed during previous Bloggiestas!
We’ll be having one, just one, Twitter party on Sunday, the 20th at 1:00 pm Eastern Time. You know you want to join us because Twitter parties are awesome. Use the hashtag #Bloggiesta and follow @Bloggiesta.
Meanwhile, create your To Do Lists and sign up below, linking to your lists on your blog. That will let us all know who plans to join us! (For ideas to get you going on your lists, check out this past challenge.)
Also, spread the word! Grab a button, let your blogging buddies know it’s happening and persuade them to join the fun!
How did everyone do this weekend!? Hopefully you all feel so accomplished and satisfied with your blogs. Maybe a little tired. Tired, but happy, right?
Let us know how it went in a wrap up post or link to your To Do Lists with updated comments added, whatever you like.
And thanks again for participating. The next Bloggiesta is March 27 through 30. I’ve just now this very moment decided to make it be Thursday through Sunday. Feebdack indicates that many of you wanted another day and especially not a weekend day. Thursday is better for me, so Thursday it is! We’ll see how it goes!
You asked for it. You got it! We are now doing sign ups for Bloggiesta a week ahead. The point here, of course, is to help us spread the word that the event is coming up. So sign up and spread the word!
Click our About Page to find out more about what Bloggiesta is and how we got started. But basically, it’s a blogging marathon where we get together with other bloggers and fix all those blogging tasks that we seem to put off and off and off.
One of the best things about Bloggiesta is to learn from other bloggers, many of whom are experts in some blogging thing or another. That’s where the mini challenges come in. For our main events (held March and September) we have quite the huge list. For our mini ones (January and July) we keep things simple with just a few. Stay tuned for that list coming up when Bloggiesta begins this Saturday, the 25th. Meanwhile, you can look over the past mini challenge list to get inspiration for what tasks you’d like to work on. Also, this challenge has a master to do list if you’d like to start there!
But now, it’s time to sign up for our current Mini Bloggiesta which happens next Saturday and Sunday, the 25th and 26th. To sign up, write a post listing the things you’d like to accomplish during Bloggiesta, also known as your To Do List, and link up to that specific post here. Use one of our buttons and link back to us so others can easily find out all about the event and hopefully join in the fun. Also, include your Twitter name in the link below, if you have one, so we can easily find you there.
Oh, and mark your calendars for Saturday night, the 25th at 9 pm Eastern. That’s when we’ll be chatting on Twitter!
Thanks and have fun!
Coming up the end of this month we’ll be hosting a mini Bloggiesta event. It will be January 25 and 26, a Saturday and Sunday. It’ll be very low key with just a few mini challenges and one twitter chat on Saturday, the 25th at 9 p.m. Eastern.
Basically, this mini event is just an organized time where we can all fix up our blogs together and talk about it as we go.
Sign ups for those participating will go up about a week before. This is new and much requested. Hopefully this will also help us spread the word. So be thinking about your to do lists and link up then if you would like to join us.
Hope to see you there!
